The New Lexus RZ 300e Makes Electric Luxury More Accessible, While The RZ 450e Offers Power And Precision For Those Seeking A Thrilling Ride

Lexus has introduced an expanded electric vehicle (EV) lineup for the 2025 RZ with the addition of a new entry-level RZ 300e model, which significantly lowers the starting price by over $10,000 compared to the 2024 model year.

The 2025 Lexus RZ lineup now includes the RZ 300e in both standard and Premium trims, as well as the higher-performance RZ 450e AWD in Premium and Luxury variants. This new entry-level RZ 300e model starts at $43,975, making it a more accessible option for luxury EV buyers.
Despite the lower price tag, the RZ 300e still delivers notable performance and range. Powered by a 72.8 kWh lithium-ion battery from CATL, the RZ 300e produces 201 horsepower in a front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration and offers an EPA-estimated range of 266 miles with 18-inch wheels. For those who prefer larger 20-inch wheels, the range drops slightly to 224 miles.

The RZ 450e AWD, on the other hand, is geared towards enthusiasts seeking more power and acceleration. Featuring Lexus’ DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, the RZ 450e produces a combined 308 horsepower, enabling a 0 to 60 mph sprint in just 5.0 seconds. Its EPA-estimated range is 220 miles with 18-inch wheels and 196 miles with 20-inch wheels.

Moreover, Lexus has placed a strong emphasis on delivering a smooth, quiet, and luxurious driving experience with the 2025 RZ lineup. The vehicles utilize the e-TNGA platform, which provides a lightweight, high-rigidity structure and a low center of gravity for enhanced stability and handling. Frequency Reactive Dampers and a front MacPherson strut suspension further contribute to the vehicle’s refined ride quality.

In terms of design, the 2025 RZ features Lexus’ signature spindle body, which replaces the traditional grille and contributes to the vehicle’s aerodynamic efficiency. The interior continues the brand’s minimalist, yet luxurious approach, with tazuna-inspired controls and an available panoramic glass roof.

The expanded 2025 Lexus RZ lineup is set to hit the market later this year, offering buyers more options in the premium EV segment. With the new entry-level model, Lexus aims to make its electric SUV more accessible while maintaining exceptional performance, innovation, and the signature Lexus driving experience.
