Aldred said in a press release that Cadillac has become “one of the most popular luxury EV brands in the U.S.” since the launch of the LYRIQ nearly four years ago.

Cadillac has surpassed 100,000 electric vehicle sales in the United States, according to Duncan Aldred, who said the milestone reflects growing momentum for the brand’s expanding EV lineup.
Aldred said in a press release that Cadillac has become “one of the most popular luxury EV brands in the U.S.” since the launch of the LYRIQ nearly four years ago.
“Today, I’m proud to share that we’ve surpassed 100,000 total Cadillac EV sales,” he said.
The executive credited the milestone to work across engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and dealer operations. He also highlighted the type of customers now entering the brand.
“Across LYRIQ, OPTIQ, VISTIQ and ESCALADE IQ, roughly three quarters of buyers are new to Cadillac, with many coming from Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and Lexus,” Aldred said.
Cadillac’s EV portfolio has continued expanding with newer performance-focused models such as the LYRIQ V and OPTIQ V. The company also pointed to recognition from organizations including MotorTrend, J.D. Power, Car & Driver, and WardsAuto for areas such as design, styling, safety, and technology.

Aldred argued that broader industry trends continue supporting long-term EV adoption.
“Once customers move to an EV, they tend to stay, and they are likely to choose another EV for their next vehicle,” he said. “That growing loyalty is exactly why we’re confident the market will continue to shift in our direction.”
The executive also connected Cadillac’s EV push to broader brand visibility initiatives, including the upcoming Cadillac Formula 1 Team and the return of the Cadillac Championship golf event at Trump National Doral.
“Momentum is strong as new customers experience what Cadillac EVs deliver: beautifully executed vehicles, advanced technologies, like Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology, and a sales and service experience unlike any other in the industry,” Aldred said.
Cadillac’s EV lineup currently includes the LYRIQ, OPTIQ, VISTIQ, and ESCALADE IQ as the brand continues expanding its electric vehicle presence in the luxury market.
