With Up To 565 Miles Of Range And Advanced DS IRIS SYSTEM 2.0, The DS N°8 Redefines Luxury And Eco-Conscious Design In Premium EVs
DS Automobiles, the luxury brand under Stellantis, has opened orders for its groundbreaking N°8 electric vehicle (EV). This premium EV, scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2025, introduces several technological innovations while emphasizing sustainable luxury.
The N°8, DS’s first exclusively electric model, offers exceptional performance capabilities across its range. The vehicle offers three power configurations: 230 horsepower, 245 horsepower, and a range-topping 350 horsepower version with all-wheel drive (AWD). Most notably, the N°8 FWD Long Range variant achieves a remarkable 466-mile combined range on the WLTP cycle, with an even more remarkable 565-mile range in urban settings. This exceptional efficiency is achieved through careful aerodynamic design, resulting in a coefficient of drag of just 0.24.
In addition, the N°8’s charging capabilities are equally impressive, supporting 160 kW DC fast charging that can restore battery levels from 20% to 80% in just 27 minutes. For daily charging, the vehicle comes equipped with an 11 kW onboard charger, allowing a complete charge in under 9 hours using a standard wall box.
DS has placed particular emphasis on sustainable luxury in the N°8’s design. The interior features innovative materials, including animal-free options made primarily from recycled materials. The Alezan Brown Nappa Leather option uses vegetable tanning with olive leaf, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to environmental consciousness. The vehicle’s exterior is available in five colors, including three new options: Topaz Blue, Palladium Grey, and Alabaster White.
The technology suite includes DS IRIS SYSTEM 2.0, featuring a 16-inch touchscreen with enhanced processing power and integrated ChatGPT capabilities. Advanced driver assistance systems include DS DRIVE ASSIST 2.0, which offers semi-automatic lane changes and predictive adaptive cruise control. The vehicle also features innovative lighting technology, including DS PIXEL VISION headlights with a 500-meter range and a unique DS LUMINASCREEN grille.
Pricing reflects the vehicle’s positioning in the premium segment, with United Kingdom (UK) models starting at £50,790 ($62,9340) for the base PALLAS trim with front-wheel drive (FWD) and a 74 kWh battery. The model structure extends to the more luxurious ÉTOILE specification, with prices reaching £63,290 ($78,430) for the top-tier AWD variant. European pricing varies by market, with base models starting at €57,000 ($58,860) in the Netherlands and €57,700 ($59,580) in Germany.
Manufacturing emphasizes local production within France, with electric motors produced at the Trémery facility and batteries featuring NMC cells manufactured at Billy-Berclau Douvrin. This approach not only supports the European industry but also helps maintain quality control over critical components.
Presently, customers can now secure their orders with a modest £250 ($310) refundable deposit. Furthermore, this launch represents a exceptional step forward in DS Automobiles’ strategy to combine luxury, performance, and sustainability in the EV market.
