XPeng says the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 10.7 minutes, and it cites a maximum combined NEDC range of 1,210 km.

XPeng has put its GX and G9L extended-range flagship SUVs on sale in 11 countries each across the Middle East and Africa, pairing an 800V architecture with 5C fast charging as it pushes further overseas.
XPeng says the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 10.7 minutes, and it cites a maximum combined NEDC range of 1,210 km.
The two models were introduced in Dubai on November 2 and are now available for pre-order, XPeng said in a statement. It was also the first time the GX had been shown outside China.
In the UAE, the GX Flagship Edition is priced at AED 299,000 ($81,410), while the G9L has a pre-sales starting price of AED 259,000, and XPeng did not give specific delivery dates, according to CnEVPost.
Both SUVs are available in the UAE, Qatar, Morocco, Tunisia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan and Nigeria. The GX is also launching in Egypt, while the G9L is also launching in Ghana.
Both use XPeng’s Kunpeng Range Extender technology, which the company says is designed for the region’s long driving distances, extreme heat and varying charging infrastructure.
The GX is a six-seat flagship SUV focused on comfort, privacy and space, while the G9L emphasizes family travel and outdoor activities with a flexible three-row layout. XPeng said the GX had secured more than 4,000 orders across the Middle East and Africa ahead of initial deliveries, including 800 in the UAE.

XPeng plans to enter all six Gulf Cooperation Council markets by the end of this year and has signed new distribution agreements with Auto Sales in Kuwait and Mohsin Automobiles LLC in Oman.
By 2027, the company plans to be in more than 20 countries and regions across the Middle East and Africa, with over 100 sales and service outlets covering more than 90% of its core EV markets there. It also plans to introduce six new models in the Middle East over the next year, in a synchronized roll-out with China.
XPeng said it has full cross-regional warranty coverage across the GCC and Levant, with plans to extend it to North Africa in 2027, and its central spare-parts warehouse in Dubai can deliver parts to service centers in as little as 24 hours.
The G9L previously launched in Europe as a battery electric vehicle and in Hong Kong in six-seat and seven-seat extended-range all-wheel-drive versions.
Overseas sales are growing quickly. XPeng delivered a record 13,326 vehicles overseas in October, up 166% year over year and 26.53% of its total, by CnEVPost’s calculations. Total October deliveries hit a record 50,237, up 19.57%, while deliveries for the first 10 months reached 334,604, down 5.80% year over year.
