The 2027 GMC Hummer EV Pickup no longer offers the Off-Road Readiness Package, a $3,995 option that bundled a spare wheel and tire, recovery equipment, and a bed-mounted spare tire carrier.

Buyers can still order the truck’s renamed Off-Road Package, which retains its core trail hardware, but the additional spare and recovery items are no longer available through GMC’s factory-listed options.

GMC Removes Spare Tire Bundle From 2027 Hummer EV

The discontinued Off-Road Readiness Package, identified by RPO code PCH, previously required buyers to select the $9,995 Extreme Off-Road Package, now renamed the Off-Road Package for the 2027 model year.

The PCH bundle included five items: a spare tire jack and tool kit, an Off-Road Recovery Kit, an 18-inch black spare wheel with machine accents, an 18-inch spare tire, and a vertical spare tire carrier mounted in the truck bed, according to GM Authority.

All five items are no longer available to order for the 2027 Hummer EV Pickup, either through the discontinued package or individually.

The change also removes the factory-listed option for carrying a full-size spare upright in the bed. GMC previously offered a separate passenger-side, bed-mounted vertical spare tire carrier for $1,995. That accessory became unavailable during the 2026 model year and had already required buyers to select the Off-Road Readiness Package.

Core Off-Road Equipment Remains Available

Despite losing the spare tire bundle, the 2027 Hummer EV Pickup retains substantial off-road equipment through its renamed Off-Road Package.

The configuration includes 18-inch wheels, mud-terrain tires, underbody protection, locking differentials, underbody cameras, and rocker protectors with assist steps. These features remain available for buyers seeking the truck’s more trail-focused setup.

The discontinued package instead covered additional equipment intended to help drivers handle punctures and recovery situations away from paved roads. Without the factory-listed bundle, buyers can no longer add its spare wheel, tire, jack, tools, recovery kit, or carrier to a 2027 order.

For owners planning remote off-road trips, the change narrows the available factory configuration choices, particularly for those who want a full-size spare mounted in the bed. The truck’s underlying off-road hardware remains available, but buyers seeking the discontinued equipment will need to consider alternatives outside the listed factory options.
