Xpeng’s P7+ Model Breaks Records With 31,528 Orders On Launch Day
The XPeng P7+ Shatters Records With Rapid Orders, Offering Multiple Trims, Long-Range Capabilities, And Cutting-Edge Features
In a remarkable display of market demand, Xpeng’s all-new P7+ electric vehicle (EV) has received a staggering 31,528 firm orders within just the first day of its launch.
Unprecedented Demand Within Minutes
The P7+, Xpeng’s latest flagship model, was unveiled on November 7th and opened for order taking that same evening. By the next day, the company announced that the EV had already broken all previous Xpeng model records, with over 31,000 non-refundable deposits placed in the first three hours. Notably, Xpeng Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng announced that the sedan secured over 10,000 firm orders within the first 12 minutes of its launch.
Diverse Trim Options
The P7+ is offered in three trims, with the base “Long Range Max” version boasting a CLTC-estimated range of 615 km and from 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds. The “Ultra Long Range Max” model can travel up to around 710 km on a single charge and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.
A limited “Limited Edition Max” variant, with a range of 685-700 km and the same 5.9 second 0-100 km/h time, is also available, but the initial production run of 500 units has already sold out.
Design and Cutting-Edge Technology
In terms of design, the P7+ features a sleek and aerodynamic design with a drag coefficient of just 0.206 Cd. Inside, buyers can enjoy a premium cabin with a 15.6-inch central display, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and an array of high-tech features including Xpeng’s advanced driver assistance system called the “Hawkeye Vision” system.
Furthermore, the P7+ production ramping up at Xpeng’s Guangzhou plant, buyers who place orders for the two regular trims can expect delivery within 7 to 10 weeks.
