Xiaomi’s SU7 sedan lineup has surpassed 500,000 cumulative deliveries, reaching the milestone 28.5 months after customer deliveries began. The achievement marks a major step for Xiaomi’s young EV business, but it comes as SU7 sales have slowed in 2026.

The sedan delivered 21,044 units in July, while Xiaomi’s broader EV operation is also facing a much more demanding second-half delivery target.

SU7 reaches half-million milestone

Xiaomi launched the first-generation SU7 on March 28, 2024, with deliveries beginning on April 3. The company has since expanded the lineup with the high-performance SU7 Ultra and a new-generation SU7 introduced in 2026.

The SU7 series delivered 21,044 vehicles in July, according to data compiled by CNEVPost. That was up 3.09% from June but down 13.79% from July 2025.

From January through July, the sedan lineup delivered 101,540 vehicles, representing a 43.62% decline from the same period last year.

The slowdown comes after a rapid expansion for Xiaomi’s EV business in 2025. The company is now selling the SU7 alongside the YU7 SUV, which has become a significant contributor to its overall volume.

The YU7 series delivered 114,782 vehicles during the first seven months of 2026, compared with 101,540 for the SU7 lineup.

Xiaomi faces a tougher second half

Xiaomi EV delivered 31,267 vehicles in July, up 2.68% year over year but down 9.99% from June. Its deliveries for the first seven months reached 216,322 vehicles, an increase of 14.83% from the same period last year.

That represents 39% of Xiaomi EV’s 550,000-unit full-year target. Reaching the goal would require the company to average nearly 67,000 deliveries per month during the remaining five months of 2026, more than twice its current monthly pace.

Xiaomi is also preparing to broaden its lineup with the Sky Nomad series, which marks its entry into the extended-range electric vehicle segment. The N90 Max and N70 Max are scheduled to go on sale in September, with starting prices of 299,900 yuan ($44,190) and 259,900 yuan, respectively.
