Xiaomi Auto has launched an international website and overseas social media accounts as it prepares to enter the European automotive market in 2027.

The new website, xiaomiauto.com, went live Wednesday and prominently states that Xiaomi Auto will officially come to Europe in 2027. The company has not yet announced which European countries will receive its vehicles first, nor has it disclosed local pricing or a specific launch date.

The move gives Xiaomi Auto a public-facing platform for its international expansion while the company continues preparing its overseas sales and distribution network.

Xiaomi Auto opens door to European dealers

The international website showcases several of Xiaomi’s automotive projects, including the SU7, SU7 Ultra, YU7 GT, Sky Nomad and Vision Gran Turismo.

However, the presence of those vehicles on the website does not confirm that all of them will be part of Xiaomi Auto’s initial European lineup, according to CNEV Post.

The site currently focuses on the brand and its technology rather than facilitating vehicle sales. It includes sections covering news, innovation and core technologies, along with a portal where prospective dealers and distribution partners can submit inquiries.

There is currently no vehicle configurator, local pricing information or purchasing portal.

That suggests Xiaomi Auto’s latest move is focused on establishing its international presence and building sales infrastructure ahead of the actual launch.

Europe set to be Xiaomi Auto’s first overseas market

Xiaomi president William Lu said in May that the company planned to begin its overseas automotive expansion in the third or fourth quarter of 2027, with preparations proceeding as planned.

The company’s strategy is to enter developed markets before expanding into developing economies. Xiaomi also plans to target the mid- to high-end segment initially before moving toward the midrange market.

The company intends to prioritize right-hand-drive markets before left-hand-drive ones.

Lu previously noted that expanding an automotive business overseas requires significant preparation because of legal and regulatory requirements, product localization and the establishment of sales and retail networks.

Xiaomi Auto’s international website also lists Munich among its global research and development locations, alongside Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Wuhan.

The company appointed auto division vice president Yu Liguo in May to also lead its overseas business preparation group, reporting to Xiaomi Group CEO Lei Jun and Lu.

The company is now consistently using Xiaomi Auto as the English name for its automotive business.

Xiaomi prepares for overseas growth as domestic sales slow

The international push comes as Xiaomi’s domestic vehicle sales growth has moderated.

Xiaomi delivered 31,267 vehicles in July, up 2.68% year over year but down 9.99% from June. Deliveries for the first seven months of the year reached 216,322 units, equivalent to 39% of the company’s full-year target of 550,000 vehicles.

Xiaomi would need to average about 66,700 monthly deliveries during the remaining five months of the year to reach that target.

With overseas sales not expected to begin until the second half of 2027, Xiaomi Auto’s domestic production and the rollout of new models will remain the main drivers of its near-term vehicle business.

The launch of its international website and social channels is therefore an early step toward Xiaomi’s much larger ambition: taking its rapidly expanding automotive business beyond China.
