Polestar 3 Deliveries Rolls Out In North America As U.S. Production Begins

Polestar has officially started delivering its first United States (U.S.)–manufactured Polestar 3 electric vehicles (EVs) to buyers across North America, signaling a major milestone in the company’s strategic growth.

According to Polestar, the company has started rolling out locally-produced electric SUVs from its South Carolina plant, expanding its presence in the competitive EV market. Anders Gustafsson, Head of Polestar North America, emphasized the importance of this achievement, describing the Polestar 3 as a “pivotal role in our brand’s expanding lineup.”

A Growing Lineup with Expanded Range

Priced starting at $74,800, the Polestar 3 offers up to 315 miles of driving range and represents the brand’s transition from a single-model company to a three-car lineup. It joins the Polestar 2 electric sedan and the upcoming Polestar 4 electric SUV coupe.

Key Markets in the U.S. and Canada

Initial deliveries are underway in major U.S. and Canadian cities, focusing on key markets like Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, which collectively represent over 90% of Canada’s EV market. Buyers can currently arrange test drives at local Polestar Spaces across North America.

In an additional boost for potential buyers, Polestar recently announced that drivers will soon be able to order North American Charging Standard (NACS) adapters, enabling charging at Tesla’s Supercharger network, with deliveries planned for mid-November.

Notably, the U.S. manufacturing initiative arrives after initial production in China in April and follows comments from former CEO Thomas Ingenlath, who previously noted that manufacturing in the United States is a “crucial step” for the company.
