Lucid Motors has reached a key production milestone, building its 50,000th vehicle at its Arizona facility as the company accelerates under new leadership.

The achievement highlights steady output growth as Lucid ramps production of its expanding EV lineup and prepares for its next phase of global manufacturing.

Lucid hits 50,000 vehicles as production ramps in Arizona

The milestone was achieved at AMP-1 in Casa Grande, with senior VP Adrian Price confirming the news during a visit from incoming CEO Silvio Napoli and interim CEO Marc Winterhoff.

Lucid has steadily increased output since launching production, with recent acceleration driven by newer models and improved manufacturing efficiency, according to Eletric-Vehicles. The company produced nearly 48,000 vehicles through early 2026 before crossing the 50,000 mark in April, reflecting a faster ramp compared to prior years.

Executives also toured Lucid’s broader Arizona footprint, including its Coolidge development site and Phoenix engineering hub, where next-generation platforms are currently in development.

New leadership and global expansion set next growth phase

The milestone coincides with a leadership transition at Lucid Motors, with Silvio Napoli formally stepping in as CEO following a 14-month search after the departure of Peter Rawlinson in early 2025.

Lucid is simultaneously expanding its global production strategy. In addition to its Arizona operations, the company is preparing to begin full vehicle manufacturing at its AMP-2 facility in Saudi Arabia later this year, complementing its existing semi-knockdown assembly operations.

Looking ahead, Lucid is targeting 25,000 to 27,000 vehicles in 2026, representing up to 51% growth year-over-year, with much of that volume expected to come from its newer models and upcoming mid-size platform.

The 50,000-unit milestone underscores Lucid’s transition from early production struggles toward a more scaled manufacturing operation, even as it continues to navigate recalls, delivery challenges, and increasing competition in the global EV market.
