Specific countries benefitting from cut-down ad-hoc charging rates have not been announced, the price cut will influence countries including Belgium, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, and Norway, among others. In these regions, the per kilowatt-hour charge will decrease from €0.79 (around $0.86) to €0.69 (around $0.75).

As for the aforementioned unveiling of the two new subscription plans, the introduction of the ‘IONITY Passport Motion’ and ‘IONITY Passport Power’ subscription plans will provide subscribers extra cost-effective charging solutions. Prices will start at €5.99 (around $6.50) per month for ‘Motion’ and €11.99 (around $13.02) per month for ‘Power’.

Moreover, the new PASSPORT tariffs according to IONITY will designed for different driving habits of subscribers with  ‘Motion’ ideal for drivers covering around 150 km (around 93 miles) per month, while ‘Power’ suits drivers exceeding 300 km (around 186 miles) per month or needing frequent charging.

Interestingly, IONITY will allow subscribers to adjust their plans based on varying usage patterns including seasonal travel or regular commuting. In addition, subscribers can also sign up to benefit from discounted basic fees for the first month.

With a growing network containing 630 charging parks and 3,800 charging points across Europe, the new ad-hoc charging rates will make charging EVs more accessible. As IONITY continues to make ultra-fast charging accessible and convenient for EV owners, the two new subscription plans will also assist in accelerating EV adoption across the European continent.
