Polestar has expanded its public charging offering across Europe, adding broader Plug & Charge support and fully integrating Tesla Superchargers into the Polestar Charge app.
Polestar said it now supports Plug & Charge at more than 28,000 public charging stations across Europe, allowing compatible vehicles to automatically authenticate and pay without using cards or additional apps. The feature is included at no extra cost for drivers using Polestar Charge and is supported by networks including Ionity, Allego, and Mer.
Plug & Charge enables direct communication between the vehicle and charger, streamlining the charging process and removing manual payment steps that often slow down public charging sessions, according to a press release.

Polestar also confirmed full integration of Tesla Superchargers into the Polestar Charge app. Drivers can now locate, check real-time availability, and start charging at more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers across over 1,500 locations in Europe without switching apps.
Supercharger availability is also visible directly in Polestar’s in-car navigation powered by Google Maps, enabling more accurate route planning and charging stop optimization.
According to Polestar, the Polestar Charge platform now provides access to more than 1 million charging points across Europe, making it one of the region’s largest consolidated public charging networks. The service aggregates major operators such as IONITY, Fastned, Recharge, Total, Tesla Superchargers, and a range of local providers.
Polestar also offers a paid Polestar Charge subscription that provides discounted fast charging at over 80,000 locations across 42 operators. The company said the number of Polestar Charge users exceeded 45,000 in 2025, representing a 30% increase from the previous year.
