Genesis Introduces Its Electrified G80 and G80 EV Magma Concept at Beijing Auto Show

Genesis has made huge waves at the Beijing Auto Show with its latest reveal of its Electrified G80 and G80 EV Magma Concept electric vehicles (EVs). The redesigned Electrified G80 and G80 EV Magma Concept are new offerings from the company that is making headlines in the EV industry. 

To start off, the Electrified G80 has been fully redesigned compared to its gas counterpart with a longer wheelbase that extends by 130 mm, which delivers more space for its Ergo motion Seats in the interior cabin along with a 27-inch OLED display. Shown in Vision Blue colors, the Electrified G80 revealed many practical improvements and notable features including a G-Matrix Crest Grille, MLA headlights, and a sleek bumper design.

The G80 EV Magma Concept represents the company’s offering of a high-performance EV. With a futuristic design and dynamic driving features, the G80 EV Magma Concept contains a redesigned front grille with wider fenders and a stylish rear bumper. In terms of performance, the G80 EV Magma Concept has an advanced suspension system with a large, ventilated brake system. As for the interior, it has a luxurious appearance with Alcantara, quilted leather, and carbon fiber accents.

As Genesis reveals its Electrified G80 and G80 EV Magma Concept, the company is aiming to take over Tesla’s position of high-performance EVs in the automotive landscape especially its Model S Plaid. Moreover, Genesis had previously revealed its Neolun Concept and GV60 Magma at the 2024 New York International Auto Show, which stunned viewers and everyone in the EV industry with its innovative and futuristic design. 

The transition towards electric mobility is being reinforced with Genesis’ presentation at the Beijing Auto Show and hopes of its release in the U.S. market are not yet determined. As the EV market embraces Genesis’ EV offerings, more EV launches from other companies for the rest of the year will have buyers in the EV industry more excited.
