Ford Slash Prices on 2024 F-150 Lightning EVs Up To $5,500

Ford has brought big price cuts on certain electric vehicle (EV) models of its popular 2024 F-150 Lightning. As Ford encounters more competition in the EV market, notably from the Chevrolet Silverado EV. This prompted the company to make its flagship EV model more accessible and affordable.

According to Ford Authority, the price cuts occur on April 5 and the most major price cuts are targeted in the Flash Extended Range model, positioned between the XLT and Lariat trims, which receives a cut of $5,500. The price cut brings the Flash’s starting price down to $67,995.

Other trims of the 2024 F-150 Lightning that also got a price cut are the XLT Standard Range, which sees a $2,000 cut, and the Lariat Extended Range, with a $2,500 price cut. However, the base Pro Standard Range and the Platinum Extended Range stay at their normal prices of $54,995 and $84,995, respectively.

It is also important to note that one key incentive if you are a prospective buyer for the 2024 F-150 Lightning is the eligibility for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit, which applies to EV models with an MSRP lower than $80,000. With these price cuts, the 2024 F-150 Lightning is presented as a chance to take advantage of the EV tax credit, particularly for the Lariat and Flash trims.
