Ford’s 2024 Mustang Mach-E Range Lineup Now Comes With Improved By 320 Miles

Ford has lifted the curtain on its latest electric vehicle (EV) iteration of the Mustang Mach-E lineup for 2024, promising higher range, quicker acceleration, and faster charging capabilities. The company also further asserts that the enhancements make the wait worthwhile.
The 2024 Mustang Mach-E demonstrates improvements across the board, with a considerable increase in the EPA-estimated range. The Mustang Mach-E Premium is equipped with an extended-range battery, and the rear-wheel-drive configuration now offers an impressive 320 miles of range, representing a 20-mile increase compared to previous model lineups. Other trims have also seen upgrades such as the Select model with standard-range battery and rear-wheel drive now reaches 250 miles, an increase of 20 miles; while the GT trim now reaches 280 miles, a 10-mile improvement. The Rally edition holds steady at 265 miles.

These improvements are attributed to a new rear motor and various tweaks aimed at enhancing overall efficiency. Furthermore, Ford has significantly reduced fast-charging times for the 2024 Mustang Mach-E. Models equipped with the extended-range battery can now charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 36.2 minutes, marking an 8.8-minute improvement over previous iterations. The standard-range battery trims can accomplish the same feat in 32.3 minutes, a 5.7-minute enhancement over the initial launch.
In terms of performance, Ford introduces a new Performance Upgrade option, shaving half a second off the Mach-E GT’s 0 to 60 mph acceleration time. Clocking in at 3.3 seconds, the Mach-E GT with the Performance Upgrade outpaces both the Tesla Model Y Performance and the Porsche Macan 4 Electric according to Ford. The upgrade is also standard on the new Mustang Mach-E Rally.

The Rally edition, Ford’s first-ever rally-inspired EV, sits 1 inch higher than the GT, boasting a unique tuning for both on-road and off-road excursions, along with distinctive appearance elements. With prices starting at $39,995 for the Select trim and ranging up to $59,995 for the Rally edition, the 2024 Mustang Mach-E offers a combination of options to suit different preferences and budgets.
Ford’s Chief Engineer Donna Dickson for the 2024 Mustang Mach-E, emphasizes that customer feedback has been integral in shaping the EV model’s evolution, with a focus on delivering enhanced performance, extended range, and improved charging capabilities. In addition, Ford’s commitment to software-driven experiences ensures that features remain up-to-date and user-friendly.
With these updates, Ford aims to cater to a new generation of Mustang Mach-E drivers. Whether opting for the rally-inspired performance of the Mustang Mach-E Rally or the sleek acceleration of the GT with the Performance Upgrade, you can have an array of choices to match your driving preferences.
