Ferrari is preparing to write a new chapter in its history with the launch of its first all-electric vehicle (EV). The company has confirmed that the groundbreaking model will be unveiled during its Capital Markets Day on October 9, 2025, at its historic headquarters in Maranello, Italy.

A Milestone in Ferrari’s Evolution

The electric Ferrari designates a noteworthy milestone in the company’s evolution. It is one of six new vehicles planned for 2025. CEO Benedetto Vigna has promised the electric model will be launched “in a unique and innovative way,” maintaining the brand’s goal of delivering extraordinary experiences to its clientele.

This new production center will manufacture not only the upcoming EV but also essential components including e-motors, batteries, and inverters for both fully electric and plug-in hybrid models.

While initial reports suggested a starting price of around 500,000 euros ($535,000), Vigna has neither confirmed nor denied these figures, explaining that final pricing decisions are typically made about a month before launch. This pricing strategy suggests an announcement can be expected in September 2025.

Ferrari’s EV Strategy Gains Momentum

In addition, the company reported strong financial performance in 2024, with hybrid models accounting for 51% of sales – a clear indication that Ferrari’s wealthy clientele is embracing electrified powertrains. Looking ahead, the company aims to increase this proportion, targeting 60% of sales from electric and hybrid models by the end of 2026.

Interestingly, the Chinese market could prove particularly significant for Ferrari’s electric ambitions. While the company currently maintains a 10% cap on deliveries to China, Vigna noted that the country’s strong appetite for EVs, combined with favorable tax treatment compared to gasoline-powered cars, might present unique opportunities for the new model.
