Farasis Energy’s Super Pouch Solution Features Lightweight Design And AI-Driven Battery Management System For Enhanced Safety Management

Farasis Energy has made major strides in the electric vehicle (EV) market with its innovative Super Pouch Solution (SPS) now powering the second-generation GAC Aion V, showcasing the versatility and advanced capabilities of the company’s flagship product.
In detail, Farasis Energy’s SPS technology integrates large-format pouch cells, integrated battery systems, advanced manufacturing processes, and efficient direct recycling. The system provides safety and performance features including a robust chemical system, secure stacking design for pouch cells, proprietary phase change materials, and an AI-driven Battery Management System (BMS) for improved safety management.
According to Farasis Energy, the SPS features a lightweight and flexible design. With a 75% volume utilization rate and a reduction in component count by half, the system is 20 kg to 30 kg lighter than traditional battery systems. This not only improves vehicle efficiency but also maximizes cabin space.
Notably, the SPS production line is compatible with various chemical systems including liquid, semi-solid, and solid-state batteries. This flexibility allows for battery system capacities ranging from 80 kWh to 150 kWh, which can meet diverse automotive needs and potentially streamline the R&D process.
Dr. Yu Wang, CEO of Farasis Energy, expressed the importance of the launch stating, “The successful integration of our SPS technology in the second-generation Aion V not only affirms the market’s embrace of our innovative solution but also symbolizes a significant stride in the new energy sector. We’re moving from possibility to proven excellence, setting new benchmarks for EV performance and efficiency.”

As for GAC Aion, the EV subsidiary of GAC Group, it recently launched its second-generation Aion V, equipped with Farasis Energy’s SPS technology. The Aion V features an estimated 750 km (466 miles) range and fast charging capabilities, adding 370 km (229 miles) of range in just 15 minutes on its 400V platform. The new model has a starting price of 129,800 yuan (around $17,840).
Furthermore, the EV’s advanced thermal management system ensures consistent performance in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 55°C, making it suitable for diverse global markets.
With Farasis Energy’s SPS technology becoming an innovative factor in the shaping of the EV industry, automakers will see a flexible, efficient, and high-performance battery solution.
