The ENECHANGE Passport Charging Subscription Will Be Launched On June 3

ENECHANGE revealed a flat-rate EV charging subscription that is made to transform how electric vehicle (EV) owners power their EVs across Japan. With the acceleration toward electric mobility in mind for the company, ENECHANGE has sent out this solution in the form of what they call, the “ENECHANGE Passport” flat-rate subscription plan.
Currently, EV and PHEV sales ratios fall below 4% in Japan and this challenge is obstructing the country’s goal of achieving 100% electric new passenger vehicle sales by 2035. With ENECHANGE Passport, the company sees this as an opportunity to elevate the sales ratio numbers while accelerating the Japanese government’s goal.
In detail, ENECHANGE Passport costs 2,980 JPY (around $19.08) per month while providing unlimited access to over 1,800 Level 2 chargers during specified hours. Through this initiative, ENECHANGE is aiming to reach 100,000 subscribers for the ENECHANGE Passport.

Moreover, a survey conducted by ENECHANGE has showcased that 85% of EV or PHEV owners in multi-dwelling units lack home charging facilities. As a result, the introduction of the ENECHANGE Passport may address and highlight the pressing need for accessible public charging options. Interestingly, the ENECHANGE Passport subscription service is operational from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This aligns with the country’s peak solar power generation periods, which increase surplus electricity usage.
With unlimited charging subscriptions being utilized in the acceleration of EV adoption, ENECHANGE is spearheading its position to lead in this sector in the EV industry for Japanese EV owners and making the change seamlessly. The ENECHANGE Passport is slated to launch on June 3.
