Nissan updated the Nissan Ariya for the new model year with changes focused on design, comfort, connectivity, and charging functionality.

The refreshed EV receives exterior styling revisions, upgraded cabin features, and new charging technologies aimed at improving daily usability.

Nissan refreshes Ariya with updated styling and cabin improvements

The updated Ariya receives a redesigned front end with what Nissan described as a “cleaner and more minimalist expression,” continuing the company’s “Timeless Japanese Futurism” design philosophy.

New wheel designs are now available in both 19-inch and 20-inch sizes, and the company introduced a new exterior color called Plasma Green, according to Allt Om Elbil.

Nissan also revised the suspension to improve comfort and stability. According to the automaker, the adjustments are intended to reduce vibration and provide “more stable handling on longer journeys.” Selected versions of the Ariya also receive an updated driver assistance system designed to make heavy traffic driving “smoother and less stressful.”

Inside, the Ariya gains a redesigned center console with additional storage space, along with a new 15 W wireless phone charger.

Smarter charging and Google integration expand EV functionality

The Ariya now features the latest version of NissanConnect with Google built in. The updated system can automatically plan charging stops through Google Maps based on battery level and destination.

The system can also preheat the battery before fast charging to help optimize charging speeds. Nissan said the Google integration also improves navigation and voice control functionality.

Through the NissanConnect app, drivers can monitor battery level, manage charging, control climate settings, and check tire pressure remotely from a smartphone.

Nissan also added bidirectional charging capability to the Ariya. The vehicle now supports vehicle-to-load functionality with up to 3.7 kW of output, allowing the high voltage battery to power external electrical devices.
