Dubai Police Add Tesla’s Futuristic Cybertruck to Luxury Patrol Fleet

In a move that embodies Dubai’s penchant for cutting-edge technology and luxury vehicles, the Dubai Police have officially added the Tesla Cybertruck electric vehicle (EV) to their elite tourist patrol fleet. The all-electric pickup truck made waves when it was first unveiled by Tesla in 2019 due to its unique styling and exoskeleton design.

Images shared by the Dubai Police show the Cybertruck in its distinctive green-and-white police livery, complete with the Dubai Police logo emblazoned on the hood and doors. The electric truck was even spotted escorting the convoy of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.

“The Dubai Police General Command has added the Tesla Cybertruck, the modern electric car with a futuristic design, to its tourist police luxury patrol fleet,” the Dubai Police announced on social media.

Dubai is no stranger to incorporating high-end vehicles into its police fleet, with supercars from brands including Bugatti, Ferrari, and Lamborghini already patrolling the city’s streets. However, the Cybertruck’s unique design and all-electric powertrain make it a standout addition. Notably, police departments in the United States (U.S.) have done the same with Unplugged Performance recently revealed its new customized Cybertruck under its Up.Fit division.

While the exact number of Cybertrucks in the Dubai Police fleet has not been disclosed, the public will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the Dubai Police’s Tesla Cybertruck cruiser at the Dubai Mall from June 18 to June 21, 2024.
