Set to launch in early 2025, the performance-focused electric SUV will carry forward the prestigious V-Series badge that has represented the company’s high-performance vehicles for the past two decades according to Cadillac

“The LYRIQ-V is a truly remarkable representation of the luxury, performance, and innovation prowess that are the foundations of the Cadillac brand,” stated John Roth, Vice President of Global Cadillac. “The Cadillac portfolio is even greater with our newest addition.”

Expected Performance Specifications

While detailed specifications are yet to be announced, the V-Series variant is expected to surpass the power output of the current top-tier 2025 Dual Motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) LYRIQ, which produces an estimated 515 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. The performance-oriented SUV will feature distinctive design elements, including a lower ride height for improved stability, larger air intakes, and more aggressive front and rear bumpers.

Rising Sales and Market Reach

Notably, the announcement comes as Cadillac’s EV sales show strong momentum, with LYRIQ deliveries exceeding7,200 units in Q3 2024, which is a 139% increase from the previous year. Through the first nine months of 2024, Cadillac has sold over 20,300 LYRIQ electric SUVs in the US alone.

The 2026 LYRIQ-V will be available in both left-hand and right-hand drive configurations, targeting key markets including the United States (U.S.), Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with additional markets to be announced closer to launch.

As the V-Series celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, Cadillac emphasizes that its electric V-Series models will maintain the sub-brand’s reputation for exceptional performance. Featuring instantaneous acceleration, competitive range, and standard AWD characteristics, these characteristics have defined the V-Series legacy since its inception.

With the LYRIQ-V, Cadillac is expanding the V-Series’ legacy into the electric era, promising a blend of luxury, power, and sustainability. As Cadillac continues its EV transition, models like the LYRIQ-V will play a central role in redefining performance for the modern age of luxury SUVs.
