ZEEKR Starts Mass Production of MIX Electric Minivan Before Launch Event On October 23

ZEEKR has officially kicked off mass production of its newest electric vehicle (EV) model, the MIX electric minivan. The start of production comes just days before ZEEKR is set to unveil the MIX EV during a launch event on October 23.

Family-Focused Design

According to ZEEKR, the first batch of ZEEKR MIX EVs have rolled off the assembly line. In detail ,the ZEEKR MIX is a unique multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) designed with families in mind. Described as breaking “the constraints of space,” the MIX straddles the line between a minivan and a full-size MPV, offering a more compact footprint than traditional people movers.

Regulatory filings show the MIX will measure 4,688 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, and 1,755 mm tall, with a sizable 3,008 mm wheelbase. Power will come from a single electric motor producing a peak output of 310 kW (415 hp), drawing juice from a 77 kWh ternary lithium-ion battery pack supplied through a joint venture between ZEEKR parent company Geely and battery giant CATL.

One of the MIX’s standout features is its swiveling front seats, allowing passengers to face the rear for a more social seating arrangement, even enabling them to enjoy hot pot cuisine while parked. This makes the MIX the first mass-produced vehicle to offer this unique functionality.

Upcoming Launch Event

ZEEKR has shared images and videos of the MIX’s production process, with the first batch of customer vehicles already rolling off the assembly line. The new electric MPV will make its official debut during a livestream event on October 23, where ZEEKR will reveal full details on pricing, specifications, and range.

Expanding ZEEKR’s Lineup

As ZEEKR fifth model, the MIX represents the brand’s continued expansion into new market segments. Joining the ZEEKR 001, 007, 009, X, and 7X, the MIX is set to appeal to families seeking a versatile electric people mover with cutting-edge features.
