Volkswagen Unveils 2025 ID.4 Lineup With Upgraded Features And New Pricing Structure

Volkswagen of America has officially unveiled its 2025 ID.4 electric SUV lineup, introducing a refined pricing structure and enhanced features across three distinct trim levels in this electric vehicle (EV) model.

Refined Trim Levels and Pricing

The 2025 lineup begins with the 82 kWh battery models, which will be the first to roll off the production line. The entry-level rear-wheel-drive (RWD) Pro model starts at $45,095, while the all-wheel-drive Pro version begins at $48,995. Volkswagen has indicated that models equipped with the smaller 62 kWh battery will become available later in the year, with additional features and pricing details to be announced mid-year.

An important aspect of the 2025 ID.4’s technology package is the standard inclusion of Volkswagen Car-Net with Plus Nav and Plus Speech packages, provided at no additional charge for three years. Moving up to the S trim level, which starts at $50,195 for rear-wheel drive and $54,095 for all-wheel drive, brings several premium additions. The exterior receives an aesthetic upgrade with illuminated Volkswagen logos and premium LED projector headlights featuring an Adaptive Front-lighting System. Interior comfort is enhanced with ventilated front seats, a panoramic fixed glass roof, and expanded ambient lighting options offering 30 different colors.

S Plus Trim: The Ultimate ID.4 Experience

The range-topping S Plus trim, exclusively available with all-wheel drive at $57,295, represents the pinnacle of the ID.4 lineup. It distinguishes itself with 21-inch wheels, sophisticated exterior styling elements including silver accents and a black roof, and luxury interior features such as a Harman Kardon premium audio system with 14 speakers. The S Plus also adds practical amenities like heated rear seats and three-zone climate control.

U.S. Manufacturing in Volkswagen’s EV Strategy

All models come with a destination charge of $1,425, and Volkswagen’s decision to manufacture the ID.4 at its Chattanooga plant underscores the company’s aim to the U.S. market. The Tennessee plant, which also produces the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport models, plays a crucial role in Volkswagen’s broader electrification strategy.
