Volkswagen Joins Noodoe on 360kW EV Charging Network in Taiwan

Volkswagen has collaborated with Noodoe on a fast-charging electric vehicle (EV) charging network in Taiwan that includes the deployment of Volkswagen’s first 360kW DC fast charging stations, powered by Noodoe’s EV Operating System (EV OS).

Volkswagen’s 360kW DC fast charging stations powered by Noodoe EV OS utilize a cloud-based system that enhances the user experience for EV owners. Moreover, with an industry-leading rate of 98%, the Noodoe EV OS is engineered to optimize uptime for maintaining a reliable charging service according to Noodoe.

Furthermore, the cloud-based system can manage charging station operations including automating station management, payment processing, and maintenance tasks, thereby making the charging experience more accessible and convenient for all EV owners.

Steffan Knapp, Managing Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars in Taiwan, expressed enthusiasm for progressing the EV charging infrastructure in Taiwan stating, “We are bringing ultra-fast charging to all brands in Taiwan, as our intention is to electrify Taiwan and serve the growing number of electric vehicle owners.” Volkswagen’s decision to implement Noodoe EV OS underscores its dedication to providing drivers with a reliable and seamless charging experience.

Volkswagen’s launching its first high-speed 360kW DC fast charging stations to Taiwan’s EV charging network brings another step forward in its transition to electric mobility as EVs only made up 3.4% of total registrations in Taiwan in 2022. With Volkswagen and Noodoe making strides in EV charging enhancements, the charging infrastructure in Taiwan is heading toward the path to widespread EV adoption.
