Verra Mobility’s Fleet Users Will Access Over 80% Of Public Charging Stations In The U.S. Through Bluedot’s Platform

Verra Mobility is partnering with Bluedot, an all-in-one electric vehicle (EV) fleet management platform, aimed to address the challenges to the accessibility of convenient and efficient charging solutions that fleet operators encounter.
In regards to the partnership, Verra Mobility’s fleet users will have access to locate, charge, and automatically pay for charging at over 80% of public charging stations across the United States (U.S.). Moreover, Verra Mobility will now offer Bluedot’s fleet EV charging solution to both new and existing customers. As of now, Verra Mobility manages over 300 million annual toll transactions and violation fees for over seven million vehicles globally.
Notably, this partnership complements Verra Mobility’s existing suite of services including toll payment management, violation processing, and title and registration services. Interestingly, this integration arrives at an important moment as Walmart and Amazon are planning to transform their fleets to EVs in the coming decade.
As a result, the need for such solutions is underlined by projections from McKinsey, which indicate that the U.S. will require up to 1.2 million public chargers by 2030 to meet growing demand. With Bluedot’s platform, it addresses this challenge by automating payments for public charging, consolidating billing across different networks, and providing comprehensive home charging solutions with detailed tracking and automated reimbursement processes.
Steve Lalla, executive vice president of Verra Mobility’s Commercial Services business, expressed the importance of this partnership stating, “Access to charging is the number one pain point for our fleet customers utilizing electric vehicles. We are thrilled to partner with Bluedot to provide added convenience for our customers with an improved experience to easily locate and pay for charging.”
As Verra Mobility and Bluedot make charging accessibility better, it is a sign of progress in addressing the logistical aspects of fleet electrification. By simplifying the charging process and providing comprehensive management tools, this partnership will accelerate EV adoption in commercial fleets.
