Polestar Expands EV Lineup With First Deliveries Of Polestar 4 In Europe

Polestar has officially launched its new Polestar 4 electric vehicle (EV), marking a new expansion of its product lineup. The first customer deliveries of the Polestar 4 have started in Europe, with plans to reach North America and Australia by the end of 2024.

“With Polestar 3 on the road since summer, this is the next important milestone for us in 2024 as we make our first European deliveries of Polestar 4 and give our customers even more choice,” stated Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath.

According to Polestar, the new electric SUV coupe is available in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations, with the dual-motor variant delivering up to 544 horsepower. With a starting price of €63,200 ($70,000) in Europe, the Polestar 4 arrives with an estimated range of up to 610 km (379 miles) and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

The Polestar 4 blends the spaciousness of an SUV with the aerodynamic design of a coupe, catering to buyers seeking both practicality and performance in an EV. The interior features a 15.4-inch infotainment system with built-in Google services and a 10.2-inch driver display, as well as a head-up display with a 14.7-inch projection space on the windshield.

Expected to compete with other premium electric SUVs including the Porsche Macan EV, BMW iX3, and Tesla’s Model Y, the launch of the Polestar 4 is set to offer three premium EVs in Europe to stand out. “With three models, Polestar is positioning itself as the design-led premium luxury electric car brand in the global EV market,” Ingenlath added.

As Polestar expands its European presence, the company is also preparing to increase its global production capacity. Production of the Polestar 4 is set to start in South Korea in 2025.
