Polestar and Finnish automotive retailer Wetteri are expanding their partnership with the opening of a new Polestar showroom in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
Scheduled to open in late 2026 at the new Wetteri Airport facility, the location will become the largest Polestar showroom in Finland and marks another step in the Swedish EV brand’s growing retail presence.
The new showroom will be located at Wetteri Airport, the dealership group’s recently opened facility along Ring Road III in the Helsinki metropolitan area. In addition to displaying Polestar’s full lineup of electric vehicles, the location will offer certified low-mileage vehicles through the brand’s Pre-owned program. Polestar maintenance services are already available at the site.
Wetteri CEO Aarne Simula said the expansion represents an important strategic move for the company as it strengthens its presence in Finland’s new car market, according to FCW.
The retailer already sells Polestar vehicles in Oulu and Kuopio, and the addition of a Helsinki-area showroom will allow it to serve one of the country’s fastest-growing markets for electric vehicles.
Once operational, Wetteri will provide full Polestar sales and service in Helsinki, Oulu, and Kuopio, while also serving as an authorized maintenance partner in several other Finnish cities.
The new Wetteri Airport facility opened in May 2026 following the company’s acquisition of the site earlier this year. Besides Polestar, the location also offers authorized servicing for several automotive brands and features a used vehicle showroom.

The new showroom aligns with Polestar’s broader strategy of increasing its physical retail footprint while maintaining its online-first sales approach.
Over the past year and a half, the automaker has expanded its network of retail locations in Finland and internationally, giving customers more opportunities to experience its vehicles in person and complete purchases directly through a showroom.
Polestar Finland CEO Tommi Luopajärvi said the company has built a strong presence in the Finnish EV market since launching in the country five years ago. As the model lineup and customer base continue to grow, he said a second location in the Helsinki metropolitan area has become a natural next step.
Polestar currently offers four production models globally: the Polestar 2, Polestar 3, Polestar 4, and the recently introduced Polestar 5. The company also plans to launch the Polestar 7 compact SUV in 2028 and the Polestar 6 roadster in the future as it continues expanding its premium electric vehicle portfolio.
