Mercedes-Benz officially unveiled the production version of its all-electric Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, introducing a high-performance EV with more than 1,100 horsepower, ultra-fast charging capability, and Formula 1-inspired battery technology.

U.S. deliveries are expected to begin in late 2026.

Mercedes-AMG launches 1,153 HP electric performance flagship

The electric AMG GT 4 Door Coupe produces up to 1,153 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.0 seconds. Mercedes said the vehicle reaches a top speed of 186 mph.

Power comes from a 106 kWh battery using an 800 volt architecture derived from Formula 1 technology. The automaker claims the EV offers approximately 315 miles of EPA estimated range.

Mercedes also highlighted extremely fast charging performance, with peak charging speeds reaching 600 kW. The company said the battery can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in as little as 11 minutes and add up to 244 miles of range in 10 minutes under ideal conditions.

The vehicle introduces axial-flux electric motors, a first for Mercedes-AMG. Unlike conventional motors, the axial flux design runs parallel to the axis of rotation. Mercedes said the front motor can exceed 15,000 rpm at top speed.

AMG adds synthetic V8 sounds and advanced luxury features

Mercedes said the EV uses 1,600 audio files to recreate driving sounds inspired by gasoline-powered AMG models, including simulated V8 exhaust pops, burbles, and gear shift sounds.

The battery pack uses 2,660 cylindrical cells arranged across 18 modules with nickel cobalt manganese aluminum chemistry and an energy density of 298 Wh/kg.

The EV also features active aerodynamics and a triple screen interior layout consisting of a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster alongside two 14-inch displays. The infotainment screen is angled slightly toward the driver.

Additional features include an optional five-seat configuration and a double sunroof with illuminated AMG logos above both front seats.

Mercedes has not yet announced official pricing, though the model is expected to cost well above $100,000.
