The 2025 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter Van Lineup Will Be Available In The Second Half Of 2024

Mercedes-Benz has revealed new additions to its Sprinter lineup for its 2025 model year, one of which is the electric vehicle (EV) eSprinter vans that come in a new, smaller battery option with improved features at a lower price point.

The main focus of the 2025 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter van is the new 81 kWh battery size option, which is a cheaper option for those considering it. Compared to the 113 kWh battery size option, it also comes in a cheaper starting price at $63,545 as well as in a smaller body style with a standard rooft height and a 144-inch wheelbase.
One thing that remains the same for both battery size options for the 2025 eSprinter is the rear-mounted electric motor, which possesses a performance from 134 to 201 hp and a torque of 295 lbs-feet. In addition, the 2025 eSprinter van can carry up to 3,516 lbs, 500 lbs more in weight than the bigger option. As for the charging option, the 2025 eSprinter van can DC fast charge at up to 115 kW from 10 to 80% state-of-charge (SOC) in over 30 minutes.
A standout feature for the 2025 eSprinter van is the improved safety features option of the Moving-off Information Assist system. This safety feature system is designed to prevent possible car crashes, where it can detect cars 12 feet from the front of the eSprinter van and 19.6 inches from the sides. Moreover, it can detect upcoming collisions up to 6 mph.

Other features of the 2025 eSprinter van will include the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system in a 10.25-inch display screen, a new multipurpose steering wheel with capacitive sensors, tire pressure monitoring, rain sensor, and more. There is also the Winter Package PLUS, which offers heated front seats and a heated steering wheel with a wet wiper system.

The 2025 eSprinter van lineup shows buyers more accessible options that still uphold advanced features regarding safety and convenience. With the smaller battery coming with increased payload capacity, this option is more appealing especially if you operate a business that requires EVs to carry more cargo daily.
As we wait for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter to arrive in the U.S. in the second half of 2024, the demand for EVs for business uses is one of the better aspects to further enhance EVs in the automotive landscape and further increase the options of EVs for the public.
