Lucid’s 2025 Air Pure hits Record-Breaking Efficiency Of 5 Miles Per kWh

Lucid has once again pushed the boundaries of electric vehicle (EV) technology with its 2025 Air Pure model, reaching an unprecedented 5 miles per kilowatt-hour (kWh) efficiency.

According to Lucid, this milestone cements the Air Pure model’s position as the world’s most efficient car, delivering a record-setting EPA rating of 146 MPGe. As of now, the 2025 Air Pure delivers an estimated 420 miles of range from its compact 84 kWh battery pack.

Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of Lucid, expressed the significant milestone of this achievement stating, “Lucid Air is the very embodiment of our relentless approach to optimization, enabling Air Pure to use less electrical energy than any other vehicle for any journey taken, A to B.”

This huge leap in efficiency carries multiple benefits, where smaller battery packs convey fewer raw materials are required, potentially cutting down production costs and environmental impact. In addition, the Air Pure’s efficiency translates to lower demands on public power grids during charging. With Lucid recently achieving record deliveries by 2,394 units in Q2 2024, this latest milestone positions the company in new heights.

Furthermore, the entire 2025 Lucid Air lineup receives notable upgrades. All trims now arrive standard with a heat pump, first introduced in the Air Sapphire, to enhance real-world range in cold conditions. The infotainment system has been overhauled with new control hardware, providing triple the processing power and twice the memory compared to previous generations.

Moreover, Lucid’s DreamDrive Premium Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is now standard across the range, featuring 3D Surround View Monitoring and a live Blind Spot Display.

The 2025 Lucid Air lineup includes:

• Grand Touring: Offering an EPA-estimated range of 512 miles, it retains its position as the range leader. Priced from $110,900.
• Touring: An all-rounder with all-wheel drive and up to 406 miles of EPA-estimated range. Starting at $78,900.
• Pure: The efficiency champion, delivering 420 miles of range and 5.0 miles per kWh. Priced from $69,900.

With Lucid’s advancements in EV technology setting new industry standards, the refining of its Lucid Air lineup also establishes the company as a formidable player in the EV market.
