Lucid Motors Slashes Prices On Air EVs With Demo Models Starting At $56,998

Lucid Motors has significantly reduced prices on its flagship Air electric vehicles (EVs) as the company is now offering demo models of the model for as low as $56,998.

This aggressive pricing strategy marks a substantial drop from its initial pricing when the vehicle first hit the market and comes as Lucid aims to capitalize on its record-setting Q2, during which it delivered nearly 2,400 units.

The most affordable options are 2023 Lucid Air Pure models, many with less than 1,000 miles on the odometer. These EVs deliver an EPA-estimated range of up to 410 miles on a single charge, with some trims rated at 384 miles when equipped with 20″ Aero Lite Wheels.

This price reduction represents a dramatic shift from Lucid’s initial offering. The first Dream Edition model of the Air started at $169,000, while the base model was initially priced at $77,400. The new 2025 Lucid Air now starts at $69,900 for brand new models.

Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson attributes these price reductions to the company’s superior technology and ongoing development of its advanced EV powertrain. He claims that Lucid’s closest competitors would take “many years” to match its progress.

Moreover, Lucid is offering a $1,000 Home Charging Allowance for customers purchasing Lucid Home Charging Accessories. The company has also introduced leasing incentives including a $7,500 Air Credit for U.S. customers, in addition to a $4,000 bonus for inventory EVs.

Notably, Lucid claims the 2025 Air Pure is the “most energy-efficient mass-production car ever,” boasting 5 miles per kWh and a record 146 MPGe EPA rating. The company has also aimed to start production of its first electric SUV, the Gravity, later in the year.
