The update comes as Lucid’s website continues to list the model as available in late 2026, without a formally announced production start or first delivery date.

Lucid has begun building the first production units of its 1,070-horsepower Gravity GT-S, with the company’s Chief Communications Officer saying the electric SUV will ship “soon.”
The update comes as Lucid’s website continues to list the model as available in late 2026, without a formally announced production start or first delivery date.
According to Eletric Vehicles, Chief Communications Officer Nick Twork shared photos of the vehicles on X after seeing them on the production line at Lucid’s Arizona factory last week.
“Also saw some of the first production Lucid Gravity GT-S units on the line at our Arizona factory last week,” Twork wrote. “Love the blue brake calipers and seat belts. These will be shipping soon!”
The post marks the first update from a Lucid executive on the GT-S since the company opened orders on August 13. Lucid has not formally announced that production has started or provided a first delivery date. Its website still lists the model as “Available late 2026.”
The factory update follows a separate post from Twork showing production prototypes for Lucid’s Gravity robotaxi program, which the company is developing with Uber and Nuro.

The Gravity GT-S sits above the Grand Touring in Lucid’s lineup and uses a dual-motor setup rated at 1,070 horsepower. Lucid quotes a 0-to-60 mph time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph for the model.
The GT-S starts at $125,900 before destination fees, taxes and other charges. With the $1,850 destination fee, the starting price is $127,750. The Grand Touring starts at $98,900.
Lucid lists the GT-S with a projected range of 373 miles, while noting that its official EPA estimate will be provided when available. The Grand Touring is rated for up to 450 miles.
The GT-S also comes with the Dynamic Handling Package as standard, including independent rear-wheel steering and a three-chamber adaptive air suspension. Its standard features include an Enhanced Launch Mode and a native NACS charge port.
Lucid is scheduled to report its third-quarter results on November 9, providing the next planned opportunity for management to discuss the model’s timing. The company has not disclosed how many GT-S orders it has received or how many units it plans to build.
