Hispano Suiza Set To Dazzle At Goodwood Festival Of Speed With 1,114 HP Carmen Sagrera

Spanish automaker Hispano Suiza is gearing up for a dazzling demonstration at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with two of its models, including the dynamic debut of its newest electric vehicle (EV), the Carmen Sagrera.

The new Carmen Sagrera was first revealed on June 13, 2024, celebrating Hispano Suiza’s 120th anniversary. It is also the third and most powerful iteration of the Carmen hypercar series. With an exceptional 1,114 horsepower from its four electric motors, the Carmen Sagrera can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in merely 2.6 seconds according to Hispano Suiza.

Moreover, the new Carmen Sagrera arrives with a larger 103 kWh battery, delivering an estimated range of 480 km (298 miles). In addition, the T-shaped battery pack weighs 1,349 pounds (612 kg) and operates at a maximum voltage of over 750VDC. The Carmen Sagrera also features 15 modules, each containing 24 cells, totaling 360 cells.

One of the most striking features of the new hypercar EV is its oversized rear wing, inspired by stork wings. Interestingly, this is a nod to the company’s iconic logo. The Carmen Sagrera also incorporates major aerodynamic enhancements, including a redesigned hood with air vents and a new diffuser, all focused at improving downforce and grip for better cornering performance.

Despite the Carmen Sagrera set to be on static display, visitors to the Goodwood Festival of Speed will not be disappointed when it comes to on-track action. Notably, Hispano Suiza’s brand ambassador and former Formula 1 driver, Luis Pérez-Sala, will be piloting the Carmen Boulogne, another exclusive model of the Carmen family, up the famous Goodwood hillclimb.

With these plans set for Hispano Suiza, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will see a sensational moment for the company as it showcases its EVs that arrives with a blend of its century-old heritage with advanced EV technology. The Goodwood Festival of Speed will be taking place from July 11, 2024 to July 14, 2024.
