Genesis Electrified GV70 Sees Apple CarPlay And Android Auto In 2025 Updates

Genesis has announced key updates for its popular electric vehicle (EV), the Electrified GV70, as part of its 2025 model year changes. The most notable addition is the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features.

Aside from the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features, the 2025 Electrified GV70 is set to arrive with complimentary features of Genesis Connected Services, offering features including Automatic Collision Notifications, Genesis Digital Key, and Stolen Vehicle Recovery.

Despite these updates, the core specifications of the Electrified GV70 remain unchanged. The EV model continues to be powered by a 77.4 kWh battery paired with a dual-motor powertrain, delivering 429 horsepower and an estimated range of 236 miles. Moreover, the 2025 Electrified GV70 will be available in two all-wheel-drive (AWD) trims: Advanced, starting at $66,950, and Prestige, priced at $73,750 (not including the $1,350 destination fee).

As for future plans, a major redesign is aimed for the 2026 model year, which was previewed at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. The changes will include exterior styling tweaks and a revamped interior featuring a 27-inch floating display screen that blends the instrument cluster and infotainment system. This update is projected to hit the U.S. market slightly later than other regions, possibly due to the model being produced at Genesis’ Alabama plant since 2023.

Notably, Genesis recently debuted its Magma Concept EVs at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This showcases the company’s EV lineup watching a continued expansion and refinement of its current models, representing an incremental step forward in the company’s position in the EV market.
