Genesis Electrified GV70 Achieves Top Safety Pick+ Award For 2024

The 2024 Electrified GV70 electric vehicle (EV), has been awarded the coveted TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) designation by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). 

The TSP+ recognition applies to vehicles manufactured after April 2024. It solidifies Genesis’s position as the brand with the most TSP+ ratings as of September 2024 with the addition of the 2025 Genesis GV70. 

Stringent Safety Standards Met

The IIHS, known for its rigorous safety evaluations, has raised the bar for its 2024 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award. To qualify, vehicles must achieve:

• Good ratings in the small overlap front and updated side tests
• At least an acceptable rating in the updated moderate overlap front test
• Acceptable or good ratings for pedestrian front crash prevention
• Standard headlights rated as acceptable or good

According to Genesis, The Genesis GV70 models have not only met these criteria but excelled in them, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to occupant safety.

Notably, the 2024 Genesis Electrified GV70 is equipped with an array of safety technologies including eight standard airbags with a center airbag to protect against side-impact injuries, Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and many more.

Genesis has also integrated advanced connectivity features into their vehicles. Genesis Connected Services offer Automatic Collision Notification, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, and SOS Emergency Assistance, providing an extra layer of safety and convenience for drivers.

The recognition of the 2024 Genesis Electrified GV70 elevates it from its previous TOP SAFETY PICK ratings, showcasing Genesis’s continuous improvement in vehicle safety. As the automotive brand with the most TSP+ ratings, Genesis is setting a new benchmark for safety in the luxury vehicle segment.
