The GEN3 Evo Will Debut In Season 11 Of The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship

Formula E and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) have revealed a next level racing electric vehicle (EV): the GEN3 Evo. With faster acceleration, the GEN3 Evo will set new heights in electric motorsport.
The GEN3 Evo was first shown at the H.S.H Prince Albert II’s Private Car Collection and demonstrates an astonishing acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 1.82 seconds. This new level of acceleration was achieved through the collaboration between Formula E and IFA specialists, where the acceleration speeds were 30% faster than the current Formula 1 vehicle. Notably, the GEN3 Evo is also 36% faster than its predecessor.

In terms of certain improvements of the GEN3 Evo, it arrives in a new body kit appearance that improves aerodynamics and durability that are important for racing moments on the track. Another improvement is the all-weather Hankook iON tires on the GEN3 Evo, which deliver 5 to 10% more grip made from 35% recycled and sustainable materials.

Moreover, the GEN3 Evo has a regenerative braking system that can generate around 50% electric energy needed for the race track with its software upgrades that improve performance while focusing on lessening the production footprint with ethical and sustainable practices in mind.
Jeff Dodds, Chief Executive Officer of Formula E, expressed his excitement about the unveiling of the GEN3 Evo, stating, “The GEN3 Evo heralds a ground-breaking chapter in the evolution of Formula E, embodying our dedication to innovation and high performance achieved sustainably. Featuring unprecedented acceleration and an advanced aerodynamic design, the car is set to intensify the thrill of our racing, captivating drivers and fans around the world.”

With Formula E being spotlighted with its new GEN3 Evo, it is also notable that prestigious companies like Nissan have committed to Formula E by being the first manufacturer for the upcoming GEN4 era of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship until at least 2030.
As Formula E prepares for its Season 11, the GEN3 Evo will be paving the race track for its electrifying performance with its improved EV technology. The GEN3 Evo will debut in Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
