Eleport Partners With Carrefour To Install 170 Charging Points Across Poland

170 Charging Points Will Be Installed At 70 Carrefour Locations, Aligning With The Carrefour 2026 Global Strategy For Emission Reduction

Eleport has joined forces with Carrefour Polska to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Poland. This strategic cooperation agreement will bring 170 charging points at over 70 Carrefour-owned commercial facilities in 65 cities according to Eleport.

In detail, the strategic collaboration aligns with Carrefour’s global strategy, “Carrefour 2026,” which aims at accessibility and sustainability to charging infrastructure with goals to reduce the company’s CO2 emissions by 30% by 2025, 50% by 2030, and 70% by 2040 in contrast to 2019 according to Carrefour.

As of now, Eleport operates over 800 charging points in Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Furthermore, the company also plans to ramp up this number to 1,350 charging points by the end of 2024. In regards to Carrefour, the company is focused on providing accessible and user-friendly EV charging solutions while promoting sustainability by installing EV charging stations powered by 100% renewable energy sources.

Agata Kopytyńska, Director of Real Estate, Expansion, and Assets at Carrefour Polska, expressed the collaboration with Eleport aligning with Carrefour’s global strategy stating, “Our partnership with Eleport will further enable us to achieve our ambitious CO2 emission reduction targets. By developing EV charging infrastructure at our facilities, we are enhancing our connection with customers and encouraging the adoption of ecological solutions. This partnership is integral to our efforts towards sustainable transport, addressing current economic and environmental challenges.”

As for Eleport’s perspective, Pawel Doleciński, Sales Director at Eleport, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with Carrefour stating, “This partnership will allow us to offer Carrefour customers in numerous cities the convenience of quick EV charging during their everyday shopping trips. We are particularly thrilled to partner with a company that shares our commitment to developing environmentally friendly transportation solutions.”

With Carrefour partnering with several charging providers including Allego and Shell to install charging points on its locations over the past years, the company’s expansion of EV charging infrastructure marks a major step towards developing accessibility while supporting electric mobility initiatives in the retail sector. As preparations are underway, the first charging points is expected to become operational later this year, with full deployment anticipated by next year.
