Chevrolet has stopped offering the 2027 Silverado EV Work Truck Standard Range to retail buyers, removing the electric pickup’s least expensive configuration from the consumer lineup.

The 4WT started at $56,095, including destination charges, but its removal leaves the LT Standard Range as the entry-level option for private customers, with a starting price of $64,495.

Silverado EV Work Truck Remains Available for Fleet Buyers

The Work Truck name remains in Chevrolet’s 2027 Silverado EV lineup, but the remaining Work Truck configurations are restricted to fleet and government orders. The Extended Range 5WT and Max Range 8WT are still listed, though private buyers cannot order either version through the retail lineup.

The discontinued retail configuration paired the Silverado EV’s work-focused trim with the Standard Range battery. Its $56,095 starting price made it a lower-cost alternative to the LT and Trail Boss models, according to GM Authority.

Chevrolet has not confirmed whether the 4WT will return for the 2027 model year. For now, the distinction is between Work Truck versions that remain available to commercial and government customers and the configurations private buyers can actually order.

Retail Buyers Now Start With the $64,495 LT Standard Range

With the 4WT no longer available to retail customers, the 2027 Silverado EV’s consumer lineup consists of four configurations: LT Standard Range, LT Extended Range, Trail Boss Extended Range and Trail Boss Max Range.

The LT Standard Range now serves as the least expensive retail option, starting at $64,495. That is $8,400 more than the former starting price of the Work Truck Standard Range, based on the listed prices.

The change leaves private buyers with fewer options at the bottom of the Silverado EV range. Customers who specifically wanted a Work Truck configuration will need to consider another retail trim or wait for Chevrolet to clarify whether the 4WT could become available to order again.

For buyers shopping now, the LT Standard Range is the closest available retail alternative, while the 5WT and 8WT remain options for eligible fleet and government customers.
