Cadillac has revealed its latest electric vehicle (EV) in its lineup with the 2025 OPTIQ. Cadillac’s new EV model is placed as a competitively priced luxury SUV in the entry-level sector in the EV market.

Cadillac’s 2025 OPTIQ comes with several standout features that impress the EV industry. In terms of specs, the OPTIQ delivers an estimated 300 miles of range with standard dual motor all-wheel-drive (AWD). It also brings a thrilling yet agile performance with its 85-kilowatt-hour battery pack, 300 horsepower, and 354 lb-ft of instant torque. As for charging speed, the OPTIQ has a DC fast charging that can go up to 79 miles of range in around 10 minutes.

For its exterior design, the 2025 OPTIQ has an appearance that illustrates a characteristic of sporty dynamics. With a fixed-glass roof, the OPTIQ also has a black crystal grille that includes Cadillac’s vertical signature lighting and a laser-etched pattern. It also has a rear quarter panel window design with a graphic pattern that is inspired by classic Cadillac exterior styling with its Mondrian crest.

For the interior, it arrives with a cutting-edge 33-inch LED display with standard Super Cruise driver assistance for three years of connected service with other technological aspects including Google built-in compatibility and advanced radar, camera, and ultrasonic sensor technology. For its appearance, the OPTIQ has patterned accent fabric woven that derives from recycled materials such as PaperWood veneer made from tulipwood and recycled newspaper.

One standout feature is its One-Pedal Driving, which provides utilization for drivers to slow down and stop by merely using the accelerator pedal. As a result, the One-Pedal Driving system also converts kinetic energy from the OPTIQ’s forward momentum into electricity and stores it in the battery pack that can be of use.

Furthermore, Cadillac’s 2025 OPTIQ will be launched in over 10 regions including Europe, with two trims such as Luxury and Sport. Moreover, the starting price for the 2025 OPTIQ is estimated at $54,000 including destination charges.

John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac, expressed enthusiasm for the 2025 OPTIQ in Cadillac’s EV lineup stating, “Over the past five years, Cadillac has welcomed approximately 1 million new customers to the family globally, while our percentage of younger buyers has increased 5% in the U.S. OPTIQ will be an important gateway to attract luxury EV intenders to Cadillac as we look to offer a fully electric portfolio by the end of the decade.”
