Cadillac has officially been introduced the 2025 Optiq in Europe, marking its latest push into the competitive electric SUV market. After first debuting in Paris nearly 18 months ago, the entry-level EV will be sold in France, Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland, the first European markets to receive Cadillac’s new all-electric lineup.
The model targets luxury buyers seeking a compact, high-performance EV underpinned by GM’s global Ultium platform.
According to Cadillac Europe, the Optiq combines “dynamic performance, intuitive technology and bold, distinctive design” tailored for European customers. The sleek crossover features a coupe-like silhouette and a refined interior that balances sporty aesthetics with practicality, according to GM Authority.
“The Cadillac Optiq is heading to Europe, promising dynamic performance, intuitive technology and bold, distinctive design in a luxury electric SUV. Perfectly sized for Europe, Optiq’s athletic design combines the sleek, coupe-like silhouette of a performance vehicle with the bold presence of a Cadillac crossover EV – offering dynamic style and capability without sacrificing interior or cargo space,” Cadillac stated.

Available exclusively in Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims, both variants come standard with a dual-motor AWD setup producing 304 horsepower and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. Power comes from an 85 kWh (75 kWh usable) battery pack supporting DC fast charging and offering up to 425 km (264 miles) of WLTP-certified range.
Orders for the 2025 Cadillac Optiq opened on October 15 through the brand’s official retailers and country-specific websites. The SUV will be imported from GM’s Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico, with first deliveries expected in February 2026. Pricing in Germany starts at €65,000 (approximately $75,590), positioning the Optiq below larger electric SUVs like the Lyriq while expanding Cadillac’s EV footprint across key European markets.
