Cadillac is simplifying personalization options for the 2027 Lyriq by discontinuing three appearance packages previously available across the electric luxury SUV lineup. According to reports, the Blue Accent Package, Bronze Accent Package, and Red Accent Package will all be removed for the upcoming model year as Cadillac continues refining the Lyriq portfolio ahead of broader updates planned for 2027.

The changes affect dealer-installed appearance packages that previously allowed customers to add color-accented trim elements to the Lyriq without relying on aftermarket modifications.

Cadillac trims accessory options for updated Lyriq lineup

The discontinued packages, internally identified as RPO codes PDL, PDJ, and PDK, had been available on previous Lyriq model years, including the 2025 Lyriq and the high-performance 2026 Lyriq-V.

While Cadillac is removing those color-themed upgrades, the automaker will continue offering several other appearance-focused options across the lineup, according to GM Authority.

The Onyx Package remains available for Sport, Premium Sport, and Signature Sport trims. That package includes 22-inch black alloy wheels, dark exterior badging, Obsidian Chrome mirror caps with laser etching, and illuminated exterior lighting elements.

Cadillac will also continue offering the lighter Onyx Lite Package for Lyriq-V models, though it omits the black wheels and some lighting features included in the full Onyx setup.

Luxury-focused trims will still retain access to the Radiant Package, which adds polished 22-inch wheels and perimeter illumination features.

The adjustments suggest Cadillac is streamlining accessory combinations as the Lyriq lineup matures and production scales further.

Cadillac prepares broader updates for the 2027 Lyriq

The appearance package changes arrive alongside several other reported updates planned for the 2027 model year.

Previous reports indicated the updated Lyriq will gain three new exterior paint colors while also adding wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Cadillac is also reportedly removing torque-rating badges from the vehicle’s exterior as part of broader design revisions.

Production of the updated Lyriq is expected to continue at General Motors’ Spring Hill Assembly plant in Tennessee later this year.

Cadillac has not publicly explained the removal of the Blue, Bronze, and Red Accent Packages. However, automakers commonly reduce accessory complexity over time to simplify manufacturing, inventory management, and dealership ordering systems.

The Lyriq remains one of Cadillac’s most important EV products as the luxury brand continues transitioning toward an increasingly electric-focused lineup in the years ahead.
