American-Made 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 Arrives with 300+ Mile Range, Starting at $60,555

Hyundai Motor America has officially announced the on-sale date and pricing for its highly anticipated 2026 Ioniq 9 electric SUV. This three-row vehicle, sharing its platform with the Kia EV9, is now available to order with a starting price of $60,555, which includes the $1,600 destination fee. The top-of-the-line trim reaches $78,090.

Impressive Range and Charging Capabilities

All variants of the 2026 Ioniq 9 are equipped with a substantial 110.3-kilowatt-hour battery pack, providing a minimum of 311 miles of range, with the base RWD S model achieving an impressive 335 miles. The Ioniq 9 boasts ultra-fast charging capabilities, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 24 minutes using a 350-kW DC fast charger. Additionally, a heat pump comes standard across all trims, enhancing efficiency in colder climates.  

Powertrain Options and Performance

The base Ioniq 9 RWD S features a single rear electric motor producing 215 horsepower, enabling a 0-60 mph time of 8.4 seconds and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. The AWD SE and SEL trims add a front electric motor, boosting the total output to 303 horsepower, reducing the 0-60 mph time to 6.2 seconds, and increasing the towing capacity to 5,000 pounds. The Performance-branded trims (Limited, Calligraphy, and Calligraphy Design) feature a more potent front motor, resulting in a combined output of 422 horsepower and a quicker 0-60 mph sprint of 4.9 seconds.

Pricing and Trim Levels

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 is available in six distinct trim levels, all offering over 300 miles of EPA-estimated driving range. The pricing structure, including the $1,600 destination charge, is as follows:

NACS Port and Charging Benefits

The Ioniq 9 is among the first non-Tesla EVs to feature a native NACS (North American Charging Standard) port, providing seamless access to Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network. Hyundai also includes a CCS to NACS adapter for compatibility with other charging networks like Electrify America and EVgo. Furthermore, eligible buyers will receive a complimentary ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 EV charger or a $400 charging credit on the ChargePoint network.  

Made in America and Tax Credit Eligible

All 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 models sold in the United States will be manufactured at the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) facility in Georgia. Importantly, the Ioniq 9 is eligible for the full $7,500 federal tax credit for both leasing and cash purchases.
