2027 Polestar 4 Arrives In UK With Chassis Upgrades And New Trim Structure

Polestar has unveiled UK pricing and specifications for the updated 2027 Polestar 4, introducing chassis refinements, revised trim levels, and a reduced carbon footprint for certain variants.

The electric crossover remains the brand’s quickest production SUV, with the dual-motor version capable of reaching 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. Pricing in the UK starts at £56,750 for the rear-motor model and £63,750 for the dual-motor variant.

Chassis Updates Aim To Improve Comfort And Handling

The 2027 model year brings a series of engineering changes designed to improve ride quality and driving dynamics. Polestar has revised the crossover’s spring and anti-roll bar settings while introducing new high-capacity passive dampers and polyurethane rebound stops.

According to the automaker, the updates deliver a more controlled ride across a wider range of driving conditions while improving both comfort and agility. The recalibrated chassis is standard across rear-motor and dual-motor versions of the Polestar 4, according to autoevolution.

The company has also continued efforts to lower the vehicle’s environmental impact. Polestar reports a cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of 19.4 tCO2e for the rear-motor model and 20.3 tCO2e for the dual-motor variant. The latter represents a reduction of 1.1 tCO2e compared to the version introduced at launch.

Alongside the mechanical updates, Polestar has revised the model’s trim structure and naming convention to create a more clearly defined lineup for buyers.

New Business And Prime Trims Add More Features

The updated Polestar 4 is now available in Business and Prime trim levels across both powertrain configurations. Business trim adds a range of driver assistance and convenience technologies, including park assist pilot, lane change assist, pilot assist, and rear privacy glass.

Prime trim expands the equipment list further with 12-way adjustable front seats, heated and reclining rear seats, a rear control display, a head-up display, and a Harman Kardon premium audio system. Buyers also receive three-zone climate control, a PM2.5 air filtration system, adaptive pixel LED headlights, illuminated interior door panels, a hands-free power tailgate, and illuminated exterior branding.

Performance remains a major selling point. The rear-motor version produces 268 horsepower and reaches 62 mph in 6.9 seconds. Buyers seeking maximum performance can opt for the dual-motor model, which delivers up to 536 horsepower and cuts the sprint time to just 3.8 seconds, making it the fastest crossover currently offered by the brand.

With enhanced refinement, expanded features, and improved sustainability metrics, the 2027 Polestar 4 strengthens its position as one of the more distinctive premium electric crossovers available in Europe.
