Motor, Performance, and Power

The 2024 Polestar 2 offers three variants: a single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) model, and two dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) models. The single-motor model has a rear-mounted motor that delivers 295 horsepower, a 68-hp increase over the previous front-wheel drive model. The dual-motor models have a new asynchronous rear motor that boosts the total output to 416 horsepower for the standard version, and 449 horsepower for the Performance Pack version. The Performance Pack also features upgrades like Brembo brakes, Öhlins adjustable dampers, and a 0-62 mph sprint time of just 4.2 seconds.  

Range, Charging, and Battery

The 2024 Polestar 2 has a larger battery than the previous model, with an 82-kWh capacity for the single-motor model, and a 78-kWh capacity for the dual-motor models. The single-motor model has an impressive EPA-estimated range of 320 miles, a 19-mi increase over the previous model. The dual-motor models have a range of 276 miles, a 6-mi increase over the previous model. The 2024 Polestar 2 also supports faster charging, with a maximum DC-fast-charging speed of up to 205 kW.  

Exterior and Interior Features

In the 2024 Polestar 2, style meets substance. Its sleek hatchback design not only exudes sophistication but also provides ample cargo space, outclassing traditional sedans. The 2024 model elevates its aesthetics with subtle styling enhancements, 20-inch forged wheels for the Performance Pack, and optional Michelin all-season tires for the 19-inch wheels. A panoramic moonroof, LED lights, and a palette of seven exterior colors further enhance its allure.

Step inside, and you’ll find a spacious and opulent interior defined by a modern, minimalist aesthetic. The 2024 model comes generously equipped with standard features, including a blind-spot information system, cross-traffic alert with brake support, park assist sensors, 360-degree cameras, and auto-dimming door mirrors. Its Google-powered infotainment system, showcased on a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.2-inch touchscreen, seamlessly integrates Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Google Maps, Google Assistant, and offers convenient over-the-air updates. Safety and Driving Assistance Features

The 2024 Polestar 2 is equipped with advanced safety and driving assistance features, such as adaptive cruise control, emergency stop assist, rear collision warning and mitigation, and LED front fog lights with cornering function. The 2024 Polestar 2 also has a high-strength steel safety cage, eight airbags, and a Pilot Assist system that can help with steering, braking, and lane keeping.  

Pricing, Financing, and Lease Information

The 2024 Polestar 2 has a base price of $49,900 for the Long Range Single Motor version and $54,600 for the Long Range Dual Motor version. Keep in mind, there’s an additional $1,400 destination fee, so the total cost is $51,300 and $56,000, respectively. 

If you’re interested in extra features, there’s a Performance Pack available for the Dual Motor model for an extra $9,750 and a Plus Pack that adds $3,000 to any version. 

Here’s some good news: you might qualify for a federal tax credit of up to $7,500, plus a Polestar Clean Vehicle Rebate of $1,000. These can significantly reduce the overall cost, depending on your eligibility and location. 

To make it even more accessible, you can finance or lease the 2024 Polestar 2 through Polestar’s official website. They offer financing options like a 60-month term with a 2.99% APR or a 72-month term with a 3.49% APR. If you prefer leasing, you can choose between a 36-month term with a $5,000 down payment and a $599 monthly payment, or a 48-month term with a $5,000 down payment and a $549 monthly payment. 

Warranty and Maintenance

When it comes to peace of mind, the 2024 Polestar 2 has you covered with a four-year or 50,000-mile limited warranty, a four-year or 50,000-mile roadside assistance program, and an eight-year or 100,000-mile battery warranty. They even throw in three years of complimentary maintenance, taking care of scheduled service, wear-and-tear items, and software updates.
