Toyota unveiled the Toyota bZ4X Touring, a larger and more powerful version of its bZ4X electric SUV designed for family travel and outdoor use.
The new model adds more cargo space, longer range, and increased towing capability while becoming the most powerful Toyota outside the company’s GR performance lineup.
The bZ4X Touring will be offered in both Front Wheel Drive and All Wheel Drive configurations, each using a 74.7 kWh gross capacity lithium-ion battery.
Toyota said the FWD version delivers up to 591 kilometers of WLTP range, while the AWD model offers up to 528 kilometers. Both support DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 28 minutes at up to 150 kW, according to Automotive World.
The All Wheel Drive version produces 280 kW, or 380 DIN horsepower, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, according to Toyota’s press release.
The Touring is 140 mm longer than the standard bZ4X behind the C pillar, increasing cargo capacity to 669 liters. With the rear seats folded, storage expands to as much as 1,718 liters.

Toyota built the bZ4X Touring on its eTNGA modular BEV platform and equipped the SUV with X MODE and Grip Control systems for off-road driving. The vehicle also offers wading capability of up to 500 mm.
The automaker said the inverter uses silicon carbide semiconductors to improve efficiency and power output, helping extend driving range.
Towing capability differs by configuration. The All Wheel Drive version can tow up to 1,500 kilograms, while the Front Wheel Drive model is rated for 750 kilograms.
Toyota also highlighted its Battery Care Program, which covers the battery for up to 10 years or one million kilometers while guaranteeing at least 70 percent of original battery capacity, subject to annual battery health checks.
The bZ4X Touring will also include Toyota T-Mate driver assistance technology with over-the-air software updates.
