The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland joins Toyota’s EV lineup as a mid-size, adventure-ready SUV with a 375-hp all-wheel-drive powertrain and an estimated 260-mile range. The vehicle also features a native NACS charge port for Tesla Supercharger access.

The bZ Woodland shares a platform with the Subaru Trailseeker, but it offers distinct styling and capabilities that make it quite a bit more attractive than its Subaru counterpart.

Why the bZ Woodland Stands Out

Unlike the standard Toyota bZ, the bZ Woodland boasts standard AWD and 375 horsepower from dual electric motors, matching the Subaru Trailseeker, as reported by Car and Driver. It features a 74.7-kWh battery with a total usable capacity of 67 kWh. Thanks to its native NACS charge port, the bZ Woodland can charge its battery from 10 to 80% in 30 minutes at a Tesla Supercharger. It also has an 11-kWh onboard charger for home use.

The bZ Woodland’s “hammerhead” front-end, 8.3 inches of ground clearance, and available all-terrain tires enhance its mild off-road appeal, while 18-inch wheels and a 3,500-pound towing capacity add utility. According to a press release from Toyota, the bZ Woodland will include standout features like an X-MODE system, which allows drivers to select a driving mode depending on road conditions, and Grip Control, which leverages motor drive power modulation to achieve capable off-road performance at low speeds.

bZ Woodland Interior and Estimated Price

The bZ Woodland is larger than the standard bZ EV. Thus, it features a 30-cubic-foot cargo space, two more than the regular bZ. This makes it a practical choice for mid-size EV and SUV buyers. Inside, the bZ Woodland mirrors other Toyota EVs with a 14.0-inch touchscreen, heated seats, and a Premium package option that includes a JBL stereo system and a panoramic sunroof.

Toyota hasn’t confirmed pricing, but estimates from Car and Driver suggest a price of about $50,000 for the bZ Woodland’s single trim. Considering its features, however, consumers might find its price reasonable. With its mild off-road prowess, the bZ Woodland could become an ideal, more affordable alternative to premium-priced, serious all-electric off-roaders such as the Rivian R1S.

EV.com recognizes the 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland’s debut as an adventure-focused EV option. You can explore the best offers on Toyota electric vehicles and other EVs we have on our listings here.
