The Tesla Model Y L has officially launched in China, according to the company’s website.

As previously reported by EV.com, The Model Y L crossover has a cruising range of 751 km, measured according to China’s CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) standard, and a top speed of 201 km/h. It features a 6-seat layout, ideal for larger families.

Tesla Model Y L details

Tesla China Model Y L is a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) electric SUV, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds using two independent electric motors. The new Tesla Model Y L variant starts at RMB 339,000 ($47,180). Tesla is offering its Starry Gray paint with black interior options for free with Model Y L orders.

According to Tesla, the Model Y L also features an upgraded suspension system, providing smooth and precise vehicle control around corners and on various terrains. According to CN EV Post, the six-seater Model Y L is equipped with an 82.0-kWh ternary battery pack from LG Energy Solution, boasting an energy density of 176 Wh/kg. Dual motors deliver peak outputs of 142 kW at the front and 198 kW at the rear.

The Model Y L was expected to hit the market this fall after its inclusion in the MIIT regulatory catalog last month. However, Tesla China’s recent website update suggests Model Y L deliveries might begin this fall instead.
