Launched in 2023, the Tesla Powerwall 3 possesses an energy capacity of 13.5 kWh and can deliver 11.5 kW of continuous power. This makes it capable of providing whole-home backup power uninterrupted. Furthermore, its integrated inverter enhances solar energy capture, ensuring seamless compatibility with the SunPower Equinox system.

Moreover, with U.S. homeowners considering battery storage for reliance and affordability regarding power charging, SunPower stated that one in every four American homeowners who install rooftop solar in 2024 will also add battery storage. As a result, Tesla Powerwall being a part of SunPower’s portfolio is significant as it accounted for over half of home battery installations last year.

Joe Holstein, owner of SunPower by Quality Home Services and a SunPower Master Dealer, expressed the benefits of expanding access with the addition of the Tesla Powerwall 3 stating, “Expanding access to Tesla Powerwall 3 allows us to offer homeowners a comprehensive energy solution under one roof, including sales, financing, and installation. Together with SunPower, we’re able to sell top-rated solar and battery storage solutions to meet the demands of our customers while simplifying the process to adopt clean energy.”

As the Tesla Powerwall 3 meets SunPower’s performance and quality standards, the addition also aligns with the goals of SunPower Financial where around 82% of SunPower customers opt to finance their solar-plus-storage systems, which recognizes the financial challenges that U.S. homeowners face and the new financing options delivers zero down payment, affordable monthly payments, and a fast application process.

With the Tesla Powerwall 3 available for order through certified SunPower dealers across the U.S., SunPower’s position as a leading provider in solar energy solutions is further solidified as this addition makes it reach new heights in the solar energy market and also the EV charging market.
