Stellantis has expanded charging access for its electric vehicle customers in North America by enabling compatibility with Tesla’s Supercharger network. The move significantly increases fast-charging availability across the region and marks another step in the industry’s broader shift toward unified charging standards.
The update was announced in a press release from Stellantis, detailing new tools and hardware that allow its EV lineup to connect to Tesla’s charging infrastructure.
Stellantis said owners of its battery-electric vehicles can now access more than 27,500 Tesla Supercharger locations across North America.
Customers can connect to Tesla V3 and V4 Superchargers using a Free2move Charge NACS-to-CCS1 DC adapter, which is available for purchase through Stellantis dealerships and Mopar’s online platform.
Vehicles compatible with the adapter include models from Dodge, Jeep, Ram, FIAT, and Maserati, such as the Dodge Charger Daytona, Jeep Wagoneer S, Ram ProMaster EV, and FIAT 500e, along with Maserati’s Folgore EV lineup.
In addition, Stellantis customers can use Tesla’s Magic Dock Superchargers, which feature built-in adapters.
The company emphasized that only approved adapters should be used when charging on Tesla’s network.
Stellantis is also integrating the expanded charging access into its Free2move Charge app, which allows users to locate compatible Tesla Superchargers and other public charging stations, as well as manage payments and charging sessions.
The move aligns with the growing industry adoption of Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS), which is becoming the dominant connector for EV charging in the region.
Looking ahead, Stellantis confirmed that the 2027 Dodge Charger Daytona will launch with a native NACS port, eliminating the need for an adapter when using Tesla Superchargers.
The expanded access is part of Stellantis’ broader strategy to improve charging convenience and support long-distance travel for EV owners as adoption continues to grow.
