Stellantis made waves at the Paris Motor Show 2024 with an impressive display of electric vehicles (EVs) from its brands Citroën, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, and newcomer Leapmotor.
According to Stellantis, Citroën has taken a major step in its brand transformation with the unveiling of four new vehicles, signaling a bold move toward an all-electric future. Among the highlights are the all-electric versions of the C4 and C4 X, which build on the popularity of their combustion-engine counterparts by offering sustainable, zero-emission alternatives for urban and long-distance driving.
Additionally, Citroën revealed a concept for the all-new C5 Aircross, which will soon be available as a fully electric model, further expanding the brand’s electric lineup. Rounding out the showcase was a preview of the next-generation Ami, celebrating the four-year anniversary of this innovative micromobility vehicle that has redefined urban commuting with its compact, eco-friendly design.
The C5 Aircross Concept, based on the STLA Medium platform, hints at a production model with up to 700 km range and multiple battery options. The facelifted ë-C4 and ë-C4 X models feature updated designs and retain their 100 kW electric motors with 50 kWh batteries, offering ranges of 355-360 km WLTP. An optional 115 kW motor with a 54 kWh battery increases the range to 415-425 km.
Peugeot stole the spotlight with the world premiere of its E-408, expanding the brand’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) lineup to 12 models. The company also presented long-range versions of its E-3008 and E-5008 SUVs, delivering impressive ranges of 700 km and 668 km, respectively.
Furthermore, Alfa Romeo debuted the compact sport 136-hp Junior Ibrida, complementing its Elettrica model available in 156 hp and 280 hp VELOCE variants. The brand also premiered the 2025 Tonale, showcasing its commitment to electrification across its range.
Leapmotor International, the joint venture between Stellantis and Chinese automaker Leapmotor, made a notable debut at the Paris Motor Show. The spotlight was on the world premiere of the B10 compact SUV, alongside a lineup of other urban EVs. These included the T03, a compact A-segment urban EV offering surprisingly spacious B-segment interiors, the C10, an electric D-SUV designed for tech-savvy consumers, and the C16 SUV, featuring advanced 800-volt architecture and fast-charging capabilities.
Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability and resilience amidst global challenges. The showcase of Leapmotor vehicles is part of Stellantis’ broader Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan.
In detail, this plan aims to achieve carbon net zero by 2038, with a 50% reduction in emissions by 2030, while transitioning to an electric future. Stellantis is targeting 100% BEV passenger car sales in Europe and 50% in the U.S. by 2030, with a goal to offer over 75 BEV models globally and reach annual sales of 5 million units by that year. The company currently manufactures 12 BEV models across five assembly plants in France, supported by seven component plants.
Stellantis’ strong showing at the Paris Motor Show 2024 demonstrates its commitment to electrification and sustainable mobility. With a diverse range of electric vehicles spanning multiple brands and segments, Stellantis is positioning itself as a leader in the global transition to electric mobility.
